Amazon is offering a PlayStation Plus yearly subscription for £35

PlayStation Plus

PlayStation fans rejoice as Amazon is offering a year-long subscription to PlayStation Plus for £35, which would normally cost a up to £50.

Undercutting the likes of Cdkeys and other online retailers who can offer subscription to PlayStation Plus below the price Sony asks for on its official PS Store, Amazon appears to have the deal for gamers who want to play the latest online games like Destiny 2 but who want to shell out as little as possible for the privilege.

Amazon is offering the subscription in the form of a card with a code on it for pre-order, so we would hazard a guess and say that the deal is limited while stocks of the card last.

With no discounts or deals, PlayStation Plus will sent buyers back by a hefty £50, more than an Xbox Live subscription, after Sony hiked up the price of the subscription by £10 in August. No reason was given by Sony for the price increase but it follows from a similar move PlayStation made in the US in 2016.

While PlayStation Plus offers a range of features such as access to online multiplayer, free monthly games and discounts, the price hike is a little galling for PlayStation gamers, especially when PC gaming services like Steam, Origin and GOG Galaxy are offered free of charge and have gargantuan libraries of games as well as a vibrant community of gamers.

However, as the Amazon deal demonstrates, a bit of savvy searching and shopping around can help you secure more affordable access to the likes of PlayStation Plus, providing you put in the leg work.
