Note 8

It's official: The Galaxy Note 7 hangover has cleared. Today Samsung proudly announced the Galaxy Note 8 pre-orders have set a record for the series.

Over the same period of time, the Note 8 has outsold every version of the device to date.

That means the phone-buying public has few, if any, reservations about placing their trust in the series, despite last year's calamity.

"We're thrilled to see the strong consumer response to the next level Note," said Tim Baxter, president and chief executive officer of Samsung Electronics North America.

"Today's consumers want to do bigger things in work and life, and Note helps make that possible. We built the Galaxy Note 8 for people who desire a device that lets them be productive and allows for self-expression."
