Google Assistant is coming to a pair of smart Bose headphones – report Sep 15th 2017, 11:41, by Sean Keach Credit: Google Google is working on introducing Google Assistant to a pair of smart headphones, at least according to a new report. In the race for AI domination, tech giants are scrambling to debut their smart virtual assistants on as many gadgets as possible. We've already seen Amazon's Alexa turning up on a range of products, including speakers and smartphones. To that end, Google reportedly plans to introduce the Google Assistant AI on a pair of headphones developed by audio firm Bose. That's according to specialist blog 9to5Google, which cites "Bose documentation seen firsthand" as the source for the information. In a report, the blog details how the pair of headphones in question will be the Bose QuietComfort 35 Wireless Headphones II, which will reportedly be "one of Google's first partnered smart headphone devices that feature the Google Assistant". A product sheet for the Bose headphones intended for retail employees reportedly reads: "With your Google Assistant built in, you can control music, send & receive texts, and get answers using just your voice. Just press and hold the Action button, and start talking."
