Resident Evil 7

Capcom has announced the long-delayed Resident Evil 7 Biohazard 'Not a Hero' DLC will finally arrive on December 12.

The free expansion pack, starring franchise mainstay Chris Redfield, will be released alongside the new End of Zoe DLC.

End of Zoe will be $14.99 for those who don't already own a Season Pass.

Not a Hero was originally announced for a spring release, but was delated due to quality concerns.

In April, the studio admitted progress hadn't met the high standards of the original release.

"Rest assured, we'll use this time to create something our fans will love, so we hope you understand," Game Director Koshi Nakanishi said at the time.

Elsewhere, Capcom has announced a new Gold Edition is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC, which features all DLC,  including the content already released.

DLC packs Banned Footage Vol. 1, Banned Footage Vol. 2 — released soon after the initial launch — will be included in the Gold Edition which also arrives on December 12.

Resident Evil 7 received an excellent 9/10 score from TrustedReviews earlier this year.

It won praise for its "genuinely terrifying" gameplay, superb voice acting, stellar visuals and amazing sound design.

Our games editor Brett Phipps wrote: "After spending years yearning for Resident Evil to return to survival horror, Capcom has done so in absolute style. The switch to first person works wonders for the series and we have a game that feels completely fresh while at the same time has so many moments that will lead series fans to reminisce."
