Moona is the always-cool pillow of our dreams

Moona

Have you ever heard the expression 'cooler than the other side of the pillow'? Well a new sleep gadget is hoping to make it surplus to requirements.

The Moona smart pillow pad features temperature controls that negate the need to turn the pillow in order to receive respite from those summer heatwaves.

The idea is to make it easier for people to fall asleep, while regulating temperature to encourage the body into deeper sleep.

Moona will also gradually raise the temperature as morning approaches, encouraging the body to wake up naturally, while replacing the alarm clock.

The company behind the project says users will wake up refreshed and rested, helping to boost productivity.

The system consists of the water-based pad and a bedside temperature regulator that looks a little like a speaker.

Naturally, there's an app that allows you to mess with settings and track your sleep over time.

Early birds catch the worm

The company has taken to Kickstarter hoping to fund the endeavour and early bird Moonas can be grabbed from $219.

If the crowdfunding venture succeeds, the company is planning to charge $399 for the system.

It sounds like a lot, but can you really but a price on a good night's sleep?

However, if you think the iPhone X was expensive at £1,000, you probably won't be too enthused by a $400 (around £300) for a pillow pad.

Would you fork over that much for a better night's sleep? Share your thoughts with us @TrustedReviews on Twitter.
