Bungie has revealed when Destiny 2's upcoming raid will unlock alongside player level requirements for the big event.

Game director Luke Smith revealed on Twitter earlier this week that players will need to have a guardian sitting between a power level of 260-280 to take on the Leviathan Raid.

Destiny 2's first Raid has a Power range of 260-280.

The current level cap in Destiny 2 is 300, although you'll require a top-tier range of equipment to help your character reach such a threshold.

Players can gain access to the Leviathan Raid from 6pm BST on Wednesday, September 13 across PS4 and Xbox One.

Reviews editor Alastair Stevenson has poured more hours into Destiny 2 than he'd like to admit, but won't be awarding a score until the debut raid is open to all.

You can check out some of his opening impressions below:

Destiny 2 is now available for PS4 and Xbox One with the PC version set to launch on October 24.
