For non-Apple devices users, there's Class 1 Bluetooth, which promises greater reliability at greater ranges.
The £299/$350 cans also feature more advanced noise cancellation technology than before.
The new Pure Adaptive Noise Cancelling Technology (Pure ANC) will alter the strength of the noise cancellation to match your surroundings.
So if you're on a busy commuter train it'll pump up the tech, but ease off if you're in a library.
When noise cancelling mode is enabled, you'll still get an extremely impressive 22-hours of battery life from the Beats Studio 3 Wireless headphones (when connecting via W1).
Apple says users will be able to replenish the headphones, which also offer more comfortable ear cushions, quickly enough to provide 3-hours of listening from just 10-minutes on charge.
The statement headphones join the smaller Beats Solo over-ear cans, along with the runner-friendly PowerBeats and the stylish Beats X headphones.
They're available from Apple.com and other retailers from today in red, white/gold, blue and black. There are also limited edition grey/gold and cream/gold editions.
